Teacher Resources

One of the areas of concern of the Wabash and Erie Canal Inc. is the education of young children and teenagers about the importance of the canal in Indiana History. Through group visits to the Interpretative Center kids can learn how canals were built, how they were operated and what life was like in that era.

If you are a teacher and would like to arrange a guided visit to the Canal Park and Interpretive Center please contact us at (765) 564-2870 or our Mary Crary is the Acting Education Coordinator and she can be reached at 765-564-4661. You can email us at info@canalcenter.org for scheduling field days and tours.
